I want you to see the future. What does it look like? Are you happy? Is everything as you want it to be? No? Let’s change that. We could do it. After reading this article, you will be having the opportunity to change your World for a better one.
I am not a magician or a simpleton with big ideas. I am just an ordinary person, just like all of you. Sometimes, some of us think if there is any importance of education in our lives? Or we are just attending some schools as the norm of the society? Is it that we just want a degree for the sake of getting bread and butter for us and for our family in future, or we really want to be a useful tool of the society? What is actually the importance of Education in our life?
Why do people think that only educated people can be successful in life? Why Quaid -e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah said that there were only two most powerful things in the world; first sword and second pen. Why Hazrat Ali (R.A) said that the person who did not have parents, was not orphan but the person who was not educated was surely an orphan. Think about it!
To my opinion, although we learn from our day to day life, a formal education is the most important thing in every person’s life and every person has the right to get the education of his or her own choice. But there are some people who are narrow-minded and they degrade the persons getting the education, with a view that it would be merely wastage of time. How should we treat those people? Shall we ignore them? No! We can make them realize that education is very important in our lives. We can prove this by the deeds of our behavior in the society. We should prove that education polishes the behavior of the person in the society.
Additionally, what we learn from our parents is CULTURE and what we obtain from our society is CIVILIZATION. And what we get from our teachers through a formal education are CULTURE and CIVILIZATION, both. What I mean to say is that if Culture and civilization are both combined in an arranged manner, the result would make us a better and useful citizen of the society, in every meaning.
So, readers, we should strive hard to concentrate on what our teachers teach us and what we get from our books. Not because that we are paying for it, but because we are lucky to have the opportunity to furnish our future. This is an important tool for a successful life threaded with both culture and civilization, in a true manner. And that describes the importance of education.
However, education does not only mean to spend your 16 years just for the sake of getting a degree. It actually makes you learn that you should be living. Moreover, it teaches you to be different than the ones who are uneducated. Your learning and your deeds matter a lot.
Think about it. Not only for your today’s life but for your own future of which I am sure you want to have in flying colors.
Time flies and it never comes back. And that’s why I have no fear to say that we all still have a good chance to change our world for a better one. We just need to realize the importance of education in our Life. Good luck with your future!
